The service in star hotels is somewhat different from the non-star hotels. In order not to be confused and clumsy, consider some of these tips before staying for the first time.
There is always a first time in all things. It could be you stay in a five-star hotel for vacation, work, or because of duration conditions during Holiday homecoming.
It is important that you make a reservation, at least two days before the stay. This is because star hotels have many types of rooms, so you have to adjust them to your needs. Standard Room is a room with standard amenities at the hotel. One level above it is Deluxe Room, then some premium type like Family Room, One Bedroom Suite, and Presidential Suite. In addition to specifying the date and length of stay, make sure you get the desired room type. Reservations can be made directly from the hotel website, or through some hotel booking sites.
Check-in and Check-out times
The majority of hotels in Indonesia, including star hotels, have the same check in and check out hours. Guests can usually check in at 14:00, and check out at 12.00 the next day. Even so, some hotels implement early check in and late check out policies. If you arrive in the destination city early, you can ask the hotel for early check in before 14:00. Likewise with late check outs, usually guests are given additional time up to 1 hour to check out from the hotel. But of course, you have to communicate it to the hotel first.
Upon check in, you will be asked for a credit card for deposit or guarantee. The amount of deposit money usually corresponds to the nominal price during your stay. If you stay overnight in office, at check out the receptionist will ask for your credit card back and then refund the money in full. But what if you do not have a credit card? You must bring cash as collateral. The nominal amount also depends on each hotel. Just like a credit card, any cash back guarantee will be refunded once you check out from the hotel.
A tip for the hotel clerk
In star hotels, reasonable if so check in your goods directly brought by the hotel officer. Goods will be delivered directly to the room, so you do not need heavy-heavy carry. Therefore, many guests give tips to hotel officials. Not mandatory, just as a token of gratitude.
Enter in the hotel room, you will find a minibar that is a small fridge containing various snacks and drinks. Usually a snack consists of chocolate and snacks. Some hotels also provide alcoholic beverages in the refrigerator. You need to know, all the food and drinks in the minibar are sold. If picked up, you must pay at check out the hotel. However, almost all star hotels provide free mineral water. Usually available two bottles of mineral water that you can drink for free.
